The Statistics Centre (STC) is a ministry of the Christian Communication Centre, established to help churches, mission organisations, and Christian workers identify unreached communities and coordinate gospel efforts more effectively.

Our purpose is not to count people, but to help the Body of Christ understand where the Gospel has been faithfully established and where responsibility is still needed. By gathering accurate field information, we can encourage churches and mission agencies to work together, avoid duplication of effort, and focus on communities that remain underserved.

Our Mission

To provide reliable mission statistics and geographical information that help churches, ministries, and missionaries identify areas where additional gospel witness, discipleship, and church planting are needed.

To see every community have access to the Gospel through informed mission planning, local church involvement, and responsible stewardship of people, time, and resources.

Why Statistics Matter

Good stewardship requires good information.

Mission statistics help churches and organisations answer important questions such as:

• Which communities have little or no Christian witness?
• Where are churches already serving effectively?
• Which regions need additional workers?
• Where can ministries cooperate instead of duplicating efforts?
• How can resources be used more wisely?

Statistics do not replace the work of the Holy Spirit—they help believers make informed decisions while remaining prayerfully dependent on God.

What Does “Completeness” Mean?

For the Statistics Centre, completeness means that a community has an active and ongoing Christian witness through local believers, discipleship, and church ministry.

Our goal is to encourage churches and ministries to take responsibility for reaching every generation within their assigned communities.

Completeness is not measured simply by numbers but by the presence of faithful gospel ministry.

What Does “Incompletion” Mean?

An incomplete area is a community where there is little or no established Christian witness, or where significant ministry needs remain.

The reasons vary from place to place and may include:

• Geographic isolation
• Lack of churches
• Language barriers
• Cultural challenges
• Legal restrictions
• Limited Christian workers
• Economic hardship

By identifying these needs, churches and mission organisations can prayerfully consider appropriate responses.

Focus on Unreached Communities

Many ministries naturally serve locations with better infrastructure and easier access.

However, many remote communities still have limited opportunities to hear the Gospel.

These may include:

• Remote villages
• Tribal communities
• Mountain regions
• Forest settlements
• Island communities
• Border regions
• Areas with limited transportation
• Communities with very limited Christian presence

The Statistics Centre encourages believers to pray for and serve these communities whenever possible.

The Statistics Centre exists to support—not replace—the ministry of local churches and mission agencies.

Beyond Media Ministry

Modern communication has made it possible for millions of people to hear the Gospel through television, radio, websites, social media, and digital platforms.

These ministries play an important role in sharing the Good News.

At the same time, the Great Commission also calls believers to make disciples, teach God’s Word, and support the growth of local churches. The Statistics Centre encourages ministries to consider both proclamation and discipleship when planning gospel outreach.

Our desire is to see communities not only hear the Gospel but also have opportunities for ongoing Christian fellowship, discipleship, and spiritual growth through local churches.

Mapping Mission Opportunities

The Statistics Centre is developing secure mapping tools to help authorised ministry partners understand mission opportunities and ministry coverage.

The purpose of this system is to:

• Identify communities needing ministry support
• Encourage cooperation among ministries
• Avoid unnecessary duplication
• Improve mission planning

For security and privacy reasons, access to detailed mission information is limited to approved users.

Confidentiality

Some mission information may involve sensitive locations or ministry activities.

To protect workers and local believers, authorised users are expected to:

• Maintain confidentiality
• Use information responsibly
• Respect local laws
• Protect sensitive ministry information
• Follow Centre guidelines

Become a Statistics Centre Volunteer

We are seeking Christian volunteers with local knowledge who are willing to assist churches and mission organisations by providing accurate community information.

Volunteers may help by:

• Reporting local ministry information
• Identifying underserved communities
• Supporting mission research
• Updating regional information
• Encouraging cooperation between churches
• Participating in online meetings and training
